🌱 Hope in Motion: How Little Strides Are Restoring Dignity Across Generations

At first glance, the steps may look small — a care package delivered, a workshop held, a quiet afternoon spent listening to an elder’s story. But at the Grace & Mary Little Strides Foundation, these small steps are anything but insignificant.

They are steps toward healing, inclusion, dignity, and belonging.

They are hope in motion — one act of kindness at a time.

Where It All Began

The Grace & Mary Little Strides Foundation was born from love — love for two women who dedicated their lives to serving others quietly, powerfully, and humbly.

Mary Bawe Ntala (Mama Rehoboth) was a spiritual mother, a comforter, and a community leader.
Grace (Na Ngam) was generous in spirit, always ready to help with what little she had.

Their legacies didn’t end when they passed — they were just beginning. The foundation was created in their memory, built on their values, and driven by their belief: every life is worth uplifting.

Meeting People Where They Are

Too often, the most vulnerable in our communities are left behind. That’s why the foundation works across five key focus areas:

🧒🏽 Children & Adolescents

  • School sponsorships

  • Life skills and mentorship

  • Safe spaces for expression and leadership

👵🏽 The Elderly

  • Regular companionship visits

  • Medicine and wellness kits

  • Storytelling sessions and intergenerational events

♿ Persons with Disabilities

  • Access to assistive tools and mobility devices

  • Skill training for independence

  • Awareness programs for inclusion

👩🏽‍🦱 Women

  • Vocational training and empowerment

  • Gender-based violence awareness

  • Mental health and peer support spaces

🤝 Community Engagement

  • “Tiny Acts of Kindness” outreach

  • Respect & empathy campaigns

  • Volunteer-driven initiatives

Why Small Still Matters

We live in a world that celebrates big wins and overlooks daily sacrifices. But we’ve learned something different: small, consistent efforts change lives.

“What touched me most was not just the school sponsorship,” says one young girl in Bamenda.
“It was the way they sat and listened — like my dreams mattered.”

That’s what we’re building: a culture where dignity is restored, where people feel seen, and where no one is too small to make a difference — or to receive one.

By the Numbers — And Beyond

  • 150+ children now learning with support

  • 300+ elders receiving ongoing care and visits

  • 100+ women trained with skills that open doors

  • 75+ persons with disabilities gaining confidence and mobility

Behind these numbers are stories of resilience, grace, and growth — and a team of volunteers, donors, and partners who make it all possible.
