In a world often overwhelmed by complexity and crisis, sometimes the most powerful change begins with something small — a warm meal shared, a school bag gifted, a kind visit to an elder. These are not grand gestures by the world’s standards, but they are the lifeblood of the Grace & Mary Little Strides Foundation, a community-rooted nonprofit transforming lives in Cameroon through simple, consistent acts of care.
Inspired by Two Remarkable Women
Grace & Mary Little Strides Foundation was founded in loving memory of Mary Bawe Ntala (Mama Rehoboth) and Grace (fondly called Na Ngam) — two women whose legacies of love, resilience, and faith continue to ripple through the lives of many.
Mary, a spiritual leader and mentor, lived a life of prayerful service and steadfast compassion. Grace, known for her generosity and unshakable joy, believed in lifting others with whatever she had. Together, their values formed the foundation’s heartbeat: hope, dignity, and inclusion for every person — especially the most vulnerable.
Our Mission: One Act at a Time
At the Grace & Mary Foundation, we believe change doesn’t require fanfare — it requires action. Our mission is simple but profound:
“To uplift vulnerable children, adolescents, women, persons with disabilities, and the elderly through small, consistent acts of care, compassion, empowerment, and community-driven solutions.”
Our programs are designed to reach people where they are — in homes, schools, local communities — delivering support in the form of sponsorships, mentorship, skills training, wellness kits, and advocacy platforms.
What We Do
We serve five core groups, each with their own challenges — and potential.
-
Children & Adolescents: From school sponsorships to youth empowerment workshops, we provide tools for growth and guidance.
-
The Elderly: Through companionship visits, wellness support, and social events, we ensure our elders are not forgotten.
-
Persons with Disabilities: Access to assistive devices, inclusion campaigns, and skill-building programs help restore agency and confidence.
-
Women: We provide vocational training, GBV awareness, and peer mentoring, with a focus on healing and economic empowerment.
-
The Community: Our “Tiny Acts of Kindness” campaigns and intergenerational events foster inclusion, respect, and human connection.
Measuring Impact, One Life at a Time
Since launching, we’ve supported:
-
150+ children with education access and learning resources
-
300+ elderly individuals through wellness and companionship
-
100+ women trained in vocational skills
-
75+ persons with disabilities empowered with tools and visibility
And behind every number is a name, a face, a story.
“Grace & Mary Foundation helped me return to school after I thought all hope was lost. I now believe in a better future.” — Ruth, Beneficiary
“The home visits made me feel remembered. It’s good to know that someone cares.” — Mr. Joseph, Elderly Beneficiary
Our Vision for the Future
We envision a world where no one is left behind — where compassion is practiced, dignity is upheld, and hope is passed from one generation to the next.
Whether it’s a donated notebook, a warm smile, or a skill shared, we know that small steps can lead to lasting change. That’s why we walk — not run — but walk, together.
