✨ The Power of Small: Why Little Strides Can Change the World
Some people wait for the big moment — the breakthrough, the spotlight, the grand solution. But at Grace & Mary Little Strides Foundation, we believe that the greatest changes often begin with something small.
A schoolbag gifted to a child who thought education was out of reach.
A quiet conversation with an elderly woman who hadn’t had a visitor in weeks.
A sewing machine placed in the hands of a woman eager to rebuild her life.
These aren’t headlines — they’re heartlines. And they’re the reason we exist.
Rooted in Legacy, Grown by Love
Grace & Mary Little Strides Foundation was founded in memory of two remarkable women — Mary Bawe Ntala and Grace (Na Ngam) — whose lives were marked not by wealth or status, but by an unwavering devotion to their families, neighbors, and communities.
They taught us that kindness isn’t about quantity — it’s about consistency.
They showed us that even in struggle, there is always something you can give: your time, your listening ear, your warm presence.
Today, their spirit lives on in the hundreds of lives the foundation has touched.
We Walk With the Vulnerable
We focus on those often forgotten:
🧒🏽 Children and Adolescents — We sponsor school fees, run mentorship programs, and offer safe spaces for youth to grow and lead.
👵🏽 The Elderly — Through home visits and wellness kits, we bring connection and dignity to those in their golden years.
♿ Persons with Disabilities — We advocate for access, equity, and inclusion through devices, workshops, and community events.
👩🏽🦱 Women — We support women survivors with skills training, healing spaces, and peer mentorship to reclaim their power.
👫 Communities — Through our “Tiny Acts of Kindness” campaigns, we promote empathy and action that ripple outward.
Every program is designed with one goal: to ensure that hope is never out of reach.
From One Step to Many
In just a short time, our impact continues to grow:
-
Over 150 children have accessed education
-
Over 300 elderly now feel less alone
-
Over 100 women have learned a skill and started over
-
Over 75 persons with disabilities have found new confidence and mobility
But we don’t measure our success by numbers alone. We measure it by moments:
-
A girl smiling on her first day of school.
-
An elder holding hands with a visitor.
-
A mother starting a small business with pride.
Our Vision Is Clear
We dream of a world where:
-
Children learn without fear of dropping out.
-
Women lead and heal.
-
The elderly are honored, not forgotten.
-
Disabilities do not define potential.
-
And compassion is a common currency.
